My Busy Bench

My Busy Bench is a range of locally produced storage benches for babies and toddlers ages 6 months and older which sport various colourful and engaging knick-knacks fixed to the back designed to keep littles ones busy for hours. The brief was to create a fun and playful logo which still maintained an air of sophistication and quality.
Using "as busy as a bee" as the inspiration I developed a stylised doodle, used bright colours and a playful font in order to capture the age and tone of the brand.

The Open Book Festival is an annual literary festival held in Cape Town, South Africa with a focus on South African literature in an international context. The event includes over 150 literary events, featuring over 100 authors over 5 days.
Aimed at an educated and savvy crowd the logo needed to be both simple and clever, and needed to capture the spirit of the event, a love of all things literary through impassioned conversation.

Three Okes

Three Okes is an urban farming startup based in Cape Town that aims to make growing vegetables at the home as simple and easy as possible for the average person. An oke in South Africa is slang for "average guy" and this is where I found the inspiration to use three oak trees as the main device for their logo.
